...Recognized with awards from the AZ Parks & Recreation Assoc. at a banquet last Thursday evening. Our Mayor was proclaimed the Outstanding Public Official for the year past and the Parks' Department received the Outstanding Program Award for a Community or Neighborhood or Special Event. The association recognized the department’s day-long St. Patrick’s Day celebration for the special event award. McDowell Mountain Park was also recognized for Outstanding Sports Event for its moonlight mountain bike trail rides.
