Full Description:
. . . continues a ten year tradition of featuring the finest acoustic jazz in Arizona every Friday night from 8:30 to 10:30. If you like classic, straight ahead jazz, this is the place to be on Friday nights - everyone who is anyone, on the Phoenix area jazz scene, appears at JAZZ IN THE HILLS.
The location is in the Appia Room at The Appian Way Restaurant on the southwest corner of Saguaro Boulevard and Amhurst in Fountain Hills (directions below). Use of this room has been generously donated by the Appian Way Restaurant. The Appia Room opens at 7:45 PM. The restaurant and lounge, of course, are both open earlier. It is a great restaurant that features fine Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. For those not wishing to dine, a side entrance is available. This is a non profit venue with all donations going toward paying the musicians and keeping this ten year tradition alive.
