Full Description:
Jay Schlum moved to Fountain Hills 27 years ago when his parents relocated the family from Michigan. There was no high school in town at that time so he attended Coronado High School in Scottsdale. After graduation he attended Northern Arizona University.
At the university in Flagstaff he studied Business Management and Public Speaking. After college, he returned to Fountain Hills and is currently employed by Qwest Communications where he manages business development for the company.
Jay has been very active in the Fountain Hills community. For four years he served as a Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commissioner. For the Four Peaks Elementary School, he was PTA vice president. Actively involved with the local Community Theater, Jay has volunteered for them and performed in productions. He has also served on the advisory committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Fountain Hills.
Jay is a coach with the Fountain Hills Little League.
Jay and his wife Denise have two school age children, Carly and Timothy.
